If successful, a court order will reject your initial debt review, allowing credit bureaus in South Africa to lift the debt review flag and restore your credit usage. However, if you already have a court order declaring you over-indebted, this option isn't available, and you'll need to settle all accounts on your debt review plan.

2. Clearance Certificate

Many South Africans see a clearance certificate as a way to exit debt review, but it's the proper processing that actually removes the debt review flag. This involves commissioning the certificate, paying all debt review accounts, and submitting valid paid-up letters to credit bureaus.
